I put AI to workinside the content youalready make

I spent about five years making content for clients, and kept running into the same problems every week. Now I build the software that gets rid of them.

Who I am

I'm a designer who learned to build.

I started out in graphic design, drifted into making content, and ended up running it for clients for about five years. Somewhere in there I got tired of working around the same problems every week, so I learned to build software and started fixing them properly.

How I work

I don't start with AI. I start with the problem.

AI is just a tool, and most of the interesting work happens before you pick one. The hard part is working out what should exist in the first place.

So I start by looking for the parts of your week that drag. The jobs everyone puts off, or the ones that get done badly because nobody has time to do them properly. Sometimes the answer is a whole product, sometimes it's a small tool that takes an afternoon, and every so often it turns out to have nothing to do with AI at all.

What I build

Bring me the problem. We'll work out what to build.

  • 01

    Internal tools

Software shaped around the way your team already works, instead of everyone bending to fit whatever app you happened to end up with.

  • 02

    AI products

If you have an idea for something your customers could use, I can take it from a conversation to a product that actually runs.

  • 03

    Workflow software

The jobs you do the same way every week, handed over to something that does them for you while you get on with the rest.

Selected work

Problems I ran into, and what I built about them.

Every one of these started as something that annoyed me, or somebody near me, often enough to be worth fixing. I built all of them myself.

01AI content workspace

Reshaper AI

Problem
Running content meant keeping five tools open and copying between them all day.
Built
One workspace that writes, repurposes and schedules, so it happens in one place.

I got tired of living in five tabs, so I built the thing I wanted to use.

02LinkedIn post preview

InPostPreview

Problem
LinkedIn cuts your post off after a few lines, and you find out once it's live.
Built
A preview that shows you exactly where that cut lands before you post.

I went looking for one that did this properly, couldn't find it, so I made my own.

03Habit and behaviour tracking

MeImprove

Problem
Habit apps are good at telling you what you did, but never why you did it.
Built
A tracker built around the context behind a habit rather than the streak.

I wanted to understand my own patterns, so I built it for myself first.

04Idea validation

YouTube Idea Research

Problem
You pick a video idea, make the whole thing, and then just hope it lands.
Built
You type in an idea and see what has already worked around that topic.

A friend was starting a channel and kept guessing, so I began building it for him.

Character Checker

Problem
Counting characters. That really is the whole problem.
Built
A counter that does that one job, and does it quickly.

Not everything needs to be a platform.

My journey

How I got here.

  1. Design

    2020

I learned graphic design, and ended up doing most of it for social media.

  2. Content

Then I started making my own, and grew my Instagram to around 20,000.

  3. Marketing

That turned into client work and content systems, and eventually running the whole thing end to end.

  4. The grind

    5 years

Five years of it. Around 40 clients, more than 3,000 pieces of content, and over 30 million views.

  5. The reset

    Nov 2025

My Instagram account was deleted, which was a rough few weeks. It also pushed me into building instead.

  6. Second try

I had tried making an AI content tool once before and dropped it, because the technology wasn't good enough yet. By this point it was.

  7. Builder

    Now

Reshaper AI took about a month, and I haven't really stopped since.

Why me

I've done the work, I can build the fix, and I care how it feels to use.

01

I know the work

I spent years doing this job, so I'm not guessing at which parts of it are painful.

02

I build the thing

What you get at the end is a product that works, not a document describing one.

03

I care how it feels

I started out as a designer, and I'd like that to be obvious the moment you use it.

Right now

I'm usually building something.

Some of them turn into real products, some stay small tools that only I ever use, and a few get abandoned halfway through. That part is most of the fun.
